This Sunday at Uptown
In a world filled with never-ending reminders of brokenness, we long for a greater story. Through movies, books, art, and music, our cries out for answers to life’s biggest questions: what is my purpose? What is human identity? Is there hope for redemption, and where is it found? God has given us such a story: the true story of the whole world. From the very beginning, this story unpacks the origins of life, the purpose of our existence, the presence of evil, and the promise of restoration. Join us for our sermon series on Genesis 1-12.
Sunday, November 13

"A Vision for the City"
Genesis 4:17-26
Jordan preached that the “cultural mandate” in Genesis 1:26 calls us to “bear fruit (flourish)," and to multiply & develop God's creation into a culture that reflects His glory.

Join our Teacher in Residence, John Sittema, to explore what we can & should do about this in Adult Sunday School. We’ll read and discuss Agents of Flourishing, Amy Sherman’s compelling new book. For this Sunday, we invite you to read Chapters 1-2 (note that it’s available as an electronic download from the Charlotte Mecklenberg Public Library (no audio copies)). The discussion will be accessible to everyone, so please join us regardless if you are following along with the book!
