This Sunday at Uptown - January 29
In a world filled with never-ending reminders of brokenness, we long for a greater story. Through movies, books, art, and music, our cries out for answers to life’s biggest questions: what is my purpose? What is human identity? Is there hope for redemption, and where is it found? God has given us such a story: the true story of the whole world. From the very beginning, this story unpacks the origins of life, the purpose of our existence, the presence of evil, and the promise of restoration. Join us for our sermon series on Genesis 1-12.
"The Nations"
Genesis 10
Adult Sunday School: This Sunday we will hear from “agent of flourishing“ Jonathan O’Connor, an investment banker with the Black Arch group. Please review the chapter on prosperity, and read the chapter “the sustainable” (though not required whatsoever to attend!). Note that we have added one week to this course so that next Sunday we can debrief and discuss implications for each of us and for Uptown Church.
Youth Details & RSVP Here!
We are postponing Sunday's Exploring Membership Class to give more people a chance to join in! Please be on the lookout for a new date coming soon. This 3 session class is the first step to officially join the Uptown Church family and a required step in our church membership process.
We are continuing to collect applications and have formed a Search Committee who will help to select a Children’s Ministry Director for Uptown. Pray with us for this committee and the process as they begin the initial interview stage! You can reach out to Cheryl Anne with questions.
A reminder that we now have a tool to help meet basic needs for one another in a time of stress or crisis (such as meals, rides, childcare, household supplies, errands, house/yardwork, etc.).
  • We want to normalize helping others and receiving help.
  • Some needs will be public, to be met from church member to church member, while others may be private by choice. Those will be kept confidential or only shared with an individual’s life group, for example.
Want to help? Go to Church Center sign-ups and click on the Mercy at Uptown link (or the button below!) to see all available needs.

Do you have a need or know an Uptowner who could use help? Please email mercy@uptownchurch.org
