STARTING JANUARY 8, 2023
Kids who are in the service through the sermon... Look for this sheet (notepad of them will be in the entryway) and encourage your children to take notes on the sermon. If they bring this to the front of the sanctuary after the service, we'll have a little treat for them.
We love partnering with you to build a love for the church and the Word in the covenant children the Lord has given us.

Help me thank Holly for the nearly 3 years of dedication to Uptown Kids.
Holly started in Feb/March 2020. I don't need to remind you how and why the world turned upside down soon thereafter. Together, the staff had to reimagine children's ministry, navigate Covid-world, find ways to love our people from a distance. Holly has been incredible to work alongside, from those turbulent days to today. She is passionate about children's ministry partnering with parents to build rhythms of family worship and has provided gobs of resources to that end. Holly implemented Teach me to Worship and cares deeply that our kids become adults who love the Church. She is devoted to providing excellent, safe, and purposeful programs. That's a tiny glimpse; much of what Holly does goes unnoticed. But she is integral, she is encouraging, she is organized, and she is fun. If your children have grown in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ these last several years, please click here and let her know how much we appreciate her.

Friends, I am FULL of angst about New Year’s resolutions. And yet.
I make them every year. I fail every year.
I found this list on an old article here and I’m feeling better about setting them for 2023. I hope this benefits you:
- What’s one thing you could do this year to increase your enjoyment of God?
- What’s the most humanly impossible thing you will ask God to do this year?
- What’s the single most important thing you could do to improve the quality of your family life this year?
- In which spiritual discipline do you most want to make progress this year, and what will you do about it?
- What is the single biggest time-waster in your life, and what will you do about it this year?
- What is the most helpful new way you could strengthen your church?
- For whose salvation will you pray most fervently this year?
- What’s the most important way you will, by God’s grace, try to make this year different from last year?
- What one thing could you do to improve your prayer life this year?
- What single thing that you plan to do this year will matter most in ten years? In eternity?
Sure, the gym memberships, diet aspirations, and closet-cleaning plans may happen as well. But perhaps we can pray this together:
Lord, in 2023 may our eyes be fixed on you and our feet be willing to go where you send us. Help us align our desires to yours and focus on things that matter for eternity. May we love our neighbor and our church and our city, to the glory of God.
Happy New Year!
