This Sunday at Uptown - January 22
In a world filled with never-ending reminders of brokenness, we long for a greater story. Through movies, books, art, and music, our cries out for answers to life’s biggest questions: what is my purpose? What is human identity? Is there hope for redemption, and where is it found? God has given us such a story: the true story of the whole world. From the very beginning, this story unpacks the origins of life, the purpose of our existence, the presence of evil, and the promise of restoration. Join us for our sermon series on Genesis 1-12.
"The Calm After the Storm"
Genesis 8 & 9

This Sunday we'll hear from Tyler Miller, Uptown's Director of Community and Mobilization!
Adult Sunday School: This week, we’ll hear from Agent of Flourishing Kimberly Vaught, Principal of Allenbrook Elementary near West Freedom Drive. Prep by rereading the chapter on the endowment of the True, though not required whatsoever to attend!
More info to come next week!
Welcome Zach Riddiough!
Uptown is gaining a new intern!
Zach and his wife, Lexi, moved to Charlotte from Green Bay, WI just over a year ago (go pack go!) and began attending Uptown Church shortly thereafter. Zach recently finished the first year of his MDiv at RTS, and he is excited to serve the church as he discerns where the Lord is calling him after his studies. Together, Zach and Lexi enjoy board games, hiking, watching sitcoms, and playing with their cat Lucille.
Officer Sabbaticals
At Uptown, our hope is to regularly give our church officers a sabbatical for the purpose of rest, spiritual renewal, and re-focusing God’s call on their life. These sabbaticals are typically for 12 months and take place on a rotational basis or as needed based on life circumstances.
With that in mind, Ruling Elder Adam Dyer is on sabbatical as of January 2023, through this calendar year. Please join us in praying for Adam and his family, in hopes that this season would be one of rest and renewal as he takes a well-deserved break.

2022 Giving Statements will be sent by email at the end of this month. If you have any questions about your donations, have trouble accessing your statement, or do not receive the email, email our bookkeeper, Anne Rogers.  Thank you!
