Uptown Updates 

We've all heard the words from Handel’s Messiah declaring that "unto us a child is born" who is “Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace,” but perhaps have not stopped to deeply consider how they explain the Messiah. Join us for this Advent sermon series as we explore the prophecy of Isaiah, written 700 years before the coming of the Messiah, in order to understand the meaning of Christmas.

This is a great time to invite a friend, so please consider who you might invite to Uptown during this season.

During this Advent Season, the deacons encourage you to prayerfully consider giving joyfully and generously to Uptown Church as part of your year-end giving plans. In 2 Corinthians, Paul encourages generosity by telling us that God wants to bless those who are followers of Him, not so that we may live in comfort but so that we may be even more generous with the time, talents, and treasures that He has given us.

This Christmas we will again take up a special offering for Project 658 to minister to Afgan families. You can designate a gift at the link below by selecting "Project 658 Afghan Relief Fund" or you can give on Christmas Eve when 100% of what we collect in the service will go to this fund.
