It’s safe to say that we’ve all been affected by this pandemic in different ways. Some of us are busier than ever while others find themselves unemployed and isolated at home. Some of us are worried about family members getting sick. Others are troubleshooting how to work from home while homeschooling children. Many families are even struggling with food insecurity.
I know what it feels like to experience joblessness and hunger. In the early years of my marriage with three kids at the time, after being laid-off of four consecutive jobs and struggling to feed my family, we relied on the generosity of others. That’s why we’ve partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank and Convoy of Hope to make sure everyone has food to eat. We believe that no one should go hungry. Even in these uncertain times, we are dedicated to keeping our food pantry open in Hickory and sending support to feed over 200 children in Haiti.
I am blown away by God’s faithfulness. At a time when it would be easy to pull back, you have stepped up. Thanks to your generosity, we have fed over 10,000 meals to families in Hickory and children in Haiti this past month! I believe that one day in Heaven, Jesus will thank you for feeding Him when He was hungry (Matt. 25).
This month we’ve seen businesses and individuals donate hundreds of dollars to our food pantry and other families continue their commitment of $10 a month to feed Haitian orphans. Regardless of the size of your gift, THANK YOU.
Please consider helping us continue to provide food and basic necessities by making a gift today.
