Greetings, South Carolina Faith-Based Organizations!
As a continued effort in DHEC’s goal of making South Carolina 100% fully vaccinated against COVID-19, we are partnering with multiple providers around the state to host COVID-19 Vaccine Action Week from June 13-19. We want to kick off Sunday, June 13, with a statewide remembrance of the lives lost to COVID. We are asking all faith-based organizations, on June 13, to exercise some kind action during their worship experience in honor of the lives lost, i.e. ring bells, host a moment of silence or reflection, or any other remembrance activity the faith organization deems appropriate. We will also be sending informational vaccine materials for faith organizations to give to their congregations throughout the week. We want people of all spiritual backgrounds to participate, so please feel free to share this information!
The rest of the week, each day will focus on different providers through which vaccines are available, and we will also be reminding the public that these providers are administering vaccinations without appointments being necessary.
