Dear St Matthew’s Family
 
I bring you slightly muffled greetings behind my mask as I write this to you! Once again we have been enjoying God’s protection with no further cases and are on-track to return to pre-lockdown conditions at 12.01am this Sunday. This means we are expecting church to run this Sunday as we have for the last seven months. How kind of our premier to arrange things just in time for church.
 
However, I do want to encourage you all to continue practicing good hygiene, physical distancing, and co-operate with our cleaning and other health measures. And even though masks are not required from Sunday, feel free to wear one if you desire.

I also wanted to warn everyone that this week we are looking at Mark 10:1-16, which is one of the passages where our Lord Jesus talks about divorce.

This is an emotional topic that has scarred many of us deeply. That makes it especially important that we listen to what Jesus has to say, but it's also going to need many of us to ready ourselves to hear it. 

I encourage you to be there, but I also encourage you to be ready to hear the Word of God, which is never a small thing.

Previously, we announced that on March 6th, the 9am and 11am services we will be having a day of hospitality where people will be opening up their homes and gathering for a meal. This is a way of connecting more people together from 9am and 11am,  and a great opportunity to practice hospitality. Please RSVP using the button below.
