Hello St Matthew’s Family
Hope you are all well and I hope you are enjoying the daily Micah devotionals. A few important things for the family…
We now know what life after lockdown looks like. It seems like we will still have a few additional restrictions to embrace, but only for another week. So, what does it mean for us?

This Sunday
Instead of our 9, 11 and 4:30 services for one week only we will see the return of St Matthew’s Everywhere. You will be able to find this on our YouTube channel, and a link will be emailed early Sunday morning. It will include something for the kids as well.
I really want to encourage you get together with others this Sunday if you can, to watch St Matthew’s Everywhere in each other’s homes. We may not be able to all meet in the building, but there is no reason we can’t gather in each other’s homes.
Instead of Unichurch for one week only we will see the return of Unichurch Live. Look out for the Pigeon for full details.
There will be no physical Sunday services in our building on February 7th. They will resume again, God willing, on February 14th.
Midweek Ministries
Many of our midweek ministries can begin next week, especially Growth Groups that meet in people’s homes. I know my group is keen to meet!
Some of our midweek ministries in our building will begin (including Chair exercises), others will pause their start by another week (including Monday and Thursday Women’s Growth Groups and Playtime). So listen out for directions through those ministry specific channels.
Youth Group will be meeting both on-line and in-person tonight. We will run from 6:30-8:30pm as normal, but due to the 4 square metre rule some may have to be part of things from our overflow in the back hall. Those who would rather participate from home can do so via Zoom. Parents will be emailed details of a Zoom chat so teens can see everything and be part of the fun online. If you don't receive that email, contact Chris at chris@stmattews.com.au and he'll forward it to you.
If you are part of any ministry that does meet in the building this week, please embrace all Government directions, including the use of the Safe WA app, wearing masks, and practicing appropriate physical distancing and hygiene.
Please continue to pray for the Bushfire emergency as fires continue to burn and homes continue to be lost. Please pray for the Swan Valley Christian school community particularly as they have been deeply impacted by these fires.
If you would like to make a practical contribution here is a useful page at DFES.
St Matthew's Day of Hospitality
Last sunday  we announced that on March 6th, the 9am and 11am services we will be having a day of hostility where people will be opening up their homes and gathering for a meal. This is a way of connecting more people together from 9am and 11am,  and a great opportunity to practice hospitality. Please RSVP using the button below.
