Best Practices for Mentees

In our first supplemental workshop, mentees will learn strategies to maximize the Career Mentoring Program experience. Mentees will have the opportunity to discuss where they need help, what they’ve struggled with in the past, goals for the program, and how your CMP mentor can help.

Gratitude

Expressing gratitude to people who have helped you along the way has positive effects on the individual receiving the appreciation, as well as the person expressing it. A gratitude practice has also been shown to be beneficial for both physical and emotional health.

Here are some of the scientifically proven benefits of practicing gratitude on a regular basis:

Improves physical health
Opens the door to deeper relationships
Enhances empathy and reduces aggression
Improves self-esteem
increases mental strength
Improves psychological health
Fosters better and longer sleep
