FDA Roundtable: Pre-Clinical Device Development, 12/7

The FDA approval process is a major hurdle in bringing novel medical products and devices developed in CHOP's research laboratories to patients in our hospitals. This Roundtable brings together experts from CHOP and the Pennsylvania Pediatric Medical Device Consortium to discuss how we can address unmet needs in pediatric medical devices, and to answer questions posed from our moderator and audience.
Participants can expect to hear more about: (1) the FDA approval process for medical device development, (2) the pediatric device clinical trial infrastructure, and (3) various pathways and resources for the device development approval process, including the 510k medical device approval path.

Applications Open for the Doris Duke Foundation Physician Scientist Fellowship
|
|
The 2023 Doris Duke Foundation Physician Scientist Fellowship is now accepting proposals. The program provides grants to physician scientists at the subspecialty fellowship level who are seeking to conduct additional years of research beyond their subspecialty requirement. The goal is to aid in the transition into a research faculty appointment. The Physician Scientist Fellowship consists of $100,000 for annual direct costs plus $10,000 for annual indirect costs for two years.

The NPA has opened registration for the 2023 Annual Conference, the largest national conference and networking event dedicated to the postdoctoral community. Taking place April 21 & 22, the Annual Conference brings together postdocs, administrators, representatives from associations and societies, industry, corporations, and more.
