Sat Nov 19 - Special Dance in Rockport:
OH! Flying Shoes! Thanks to a partnership with the Rockport Opera House (OH!) and the Town of Rockport, we’re hosting a dance in Rockport on Saturday! (Schedule on flyer below or belfastflyingshoes.org/calendar and, even though it’s a 3rd Saturday, much of the First Friday FAQ applies.)
Can You Lend a Hand?
Many hands make lighthearted work! Can you sit out a couple of dances to help greet people at the door? Can you come early to set up? Can you stay late to clean up? Please email us with your availability. (We especially need greeters for both dances.) Thanks!!
Community Care:
The BFS Community Care Policy (here) is linked from the home page, calendar, and programs pages on the BFS website. If you haven’t had a chance to read it, we invite you take a look.
In accordance with the policy, BFS is offering masks to those who wish to wear them. (See pic for some of the options.) Also per the policy, when we received reports of 9 individuals who experienced illness following the November 4 dance (five of whom tested positive for Covid-19), we sent the anonymized health information to that evening’s attendees. We are grateful that so many individuals willingly shared their info!
Hope to see your smiling faces on November 19. Save the dates for First Fridays at First Church, December 2 for our annual "birthday party" celebration and January 6 to ring in the new year!
