First Friday Full of Joy!
Wow, was it ever a delight to dance in the First Church hall on November 4! Happy dancers of all ages, the All Comers Band rocked their tunes (arrangements! special endings! raucous laughter!) as Lisa & Chrissy called, and the contras were equally wonderful thanks to Mary's skilled leadership, hot music by Emily, Noah & Owen, and Eric's attentive sound engineering.
We're especially grateful to the many many people who helped out - from the First Friday Team to the Board, and from the hosts for performers to all of the folks who came early, sat out a dance as greeters, and left late! (Volunteers include each of the fabulous All Comers Band musicians, Tara A, Gary B, Jennifer A, Margo B, Kenneth K, Finn K, Theo F, Albert F, Alex M, Anne D, Joanne M, Willy C, Klove, Mike D, Lee S, Adam N, Johanna D and countless others who jumped in to help with setup and cleanup and welcoming folks at the door. THANK YOU ALL!)
It's also been lovely to get positive feedback (so many upbeat emails!) and also to receive useful suggestions for making it even better for our second dance at First Church on December 2. Keep the ideas and offers rolling in!
Hope to see you on November 19 at the Rockport Opera House (OH! Flying Shoes!) and December 2 at First Church for our annual "birthday party" celebration!
