Latest News on the Council's Key Programs for outdoor adventure, family fun, character building, leadership and so much more!

Cub Scouts, Scouts BSA, Venturing & Exploring!

January - April 2020

Important changes for Friends of Scouting 2020:

- Packs and Troops are requested to schedule their FOS presentation at a Troop Court of Honor or a Pack Blue & Gold Banquet prior to April 15, 2020. Other events with strong parent attendance work well, too.

- Family FOS raises funds that support the units. This includes camp facilities, training for leaders, staff support and guidance to unit leaders, a Scout Service Center, membership recruitment resources, financial assistance for Scouting families in need, camperships, and more!

- The cost to support one Scout is $175. The family support level is $250. All gifts made at $175 or above will receive a 2020 FOS shoulder patch. Gifts made at a $250 or above level will receive a Scout Law print (unframed).

- Units that meet their FOS goal will receive free rank advancement badges (does not include merit badges) AND a credit to be used in the Scout Shop or at Gateway Scouting events. The credit will be equivalent to 5% of the dollars raised at the FOS presentation.

For more information please speak with a member of your District FOS team.
