Recruiting Writers

Do you have research that you’d like to convey to a public audience? Have an issue that you’d like to discuss? Need a project to keep your mind off of all the summer fun your colleagues are having while you work diligently towards your goals? Consider writing a blog for us!

Blogs should be between 1000-2000 words and can be on any topic related to women’s health (e.g. laws that negatively impact women’s health, connection between recession and women’s health, medical sex and gender bias). If you’re interested, send us an email at womenshealth.res@ubc.ca with your blog topic to get started!

Survivorship Summit: Gynecologic Cancers

In collaboration with the Gynecologic Cancer Initiative, the WHRC held the inaugural Survivorship Summit: Gynecologic Cancers on November 29, 2019. The event brought together 50 stakeholders including researchers, physicians, and patient partners to take part in a collaborative discussion that aimed to enhance survivorship research.

Numerous short presentations and panel discussions were held to discuss issues around the biological, cultural and social elements of gynecologic cancer survivorship. Key priorities, questions and resources that arose from these conversations were formalized in this report, which is freely available for viewing and sharing! For a snapshot of the key take-aways from the Survivorship Summit, check out the graphic recording below.
