The Coronavirus Bounce Back Loan goes live next week and has been designed to help small and medium-sized businesses affected by coronavirus.
The scheme will go live from Monday 4th May 2020 and cash will be released within days for eligible businesses.
Businesses can borrow between £2,000 and £50,000.
The government will guarantee 100% of the loan and there won’t be any fees or interest to pay for the first 12 months.
Loan terms will be up to 6 years.
The government will work with lenders to agree a low rate of interest for the remaining period of the loan.
The scheme will be delivered through a network of accredited lenders.
The first full page feature in the West Somerset Free Press promoting local independent businesses in Minehead who are either open, offering a delivery or collection service or are operating online started last week. If you would like a free advert as part of this campaign please let me know.
Further initiatives to support businesses including the launch of a new website promoting all of those open at the moment will go live over the next few weeks.
Exmoor National Park Authority (ENPA) and Visit Exmoor are leading the development of a Tourism Response and Recovery Plan, the Plan brings together a wide range of tourism partners (including Minehead BID) across Exmoor to work together to support the recovery of the tourism industry in Greater Exmoor. By agreeing on a cohesive strategy and a joined-up approach it is hoped the area will be ready to attract visitors back following the Coronavirus outbreak and related restrictions.
