Simply Sig have created a website to connect Somerset residents with local suppliers.
With the help of some fantastic volunteers, the website lists companies within the surrounding area that are still open for business, under the current strict social distancing regulations. These small shops, pubs and businesses offer either collection or delivery services to their communities.
Within the first 4 hours of launch, the site saw more than 500 visitors and Simply Sig are now keen to get as many businesses throughout the county listed to help connect the wider Somerset community.
If you’re a local business owner or you know of businesses that are still able to supply food or other essential products, you can get in touch through the website or email
Councillors Toni Bloomfield and Paul Bolton are now manning a helpline to support the residents of Minehead and are on the look out for more volunteers. These include meals on wheels drivers, help for those not able to go get shopping or prescriptions plus any other kind of help you can think of.
