April Climate Updates

When you wake up and you see that the Earth is not just the environment, the Earth is us, you touch the nature of interbeing. And at that moment you can have real communication with the Earth… We have to wake up together. And if we wake up together, then we have a chance. - Thich Nhat Hanh

Town Meetings Begin! -- Let Your Voice Be Heard

April means the beginning of the Annual Town Meeting season. Please come out and participate! It is possibly the single most powerful thing we can each do to influence change.

West Tisbury will consider regulating the size of houses. West Tisbury & Aquinnah will also consider warrant articles requiring 100% electric for new construction and major renovations and preparing for future EV charging at these same sites. A Housing Bank will be considered in all towns. There are many other decisions in all the towns that will have bearing on climate action, from who you vote in as Select Board members to how you vote to spend town money. We have a voice if we show up!

Edgartown, April 12, 7 PM, Old Whaling Church
Oak Bluffs, April 12, 7 PM, Performing Arts Center
Tisbury, April 12, 7 PM, Tisbury School
West Tisbury, April 12, 6 PM West Tisbury School
