The Martha's Vineyard Vision Fellowship has offered funding for two climate-related, full-time fellow positions:  an Energy Planner at the Martha's Vineyard Commission and an Energy Transition Coordinator at Vineyard Power.  

The Town of West Tisbury is looking for a 10-hour/week
Climate/Energy Committee Assistant.

Energy Planner Vision Fellow at the Martha’s Vineyard Commission
The Energy Planner Fellow will be a leading advocate for the Island-wide transition to 100% electric from renewable sources by 2040 and for increasing Island energy resilience. The Energy Planner will focus on implementation of regional energy actions, including collaboration with Eversource, the Steamship Authority and other regional entities, and will coordinate development of an Island-wide energy resilience plan.
This full-time position will be funded by the Vision Fellowship for two years with the understanding that it will then become a permanent MVC staff position.

Energy Transition Coordinator Vision Fellow at Vineyard Power

The Energy Transition Coordinator Fellow will work to develop and implement an energy transition program that will educate and support residents, businesses, and the building trades for the Island-wide transition to 100% electric-from renewable sources- by 2040. 
The Energy Transition Coordinator will also build on the framework set in the 2022 Climate Action Plan and help to track milestones and progress in meeting the renewables and greenhouse gas reduction targets, including but not limited to building weatherization, energy efficient construction, electric vehicles and other aspects of transportation and electricity consumption.

Climate/Energy Committee Assistant for West Tisbury

The Town of West Tisbury is seeking a Committee Assistant for a 10 hour/week position.  This position provides general administrative support for the Energy and Climate Advisory Committees.  Minimum qualifications are a High School diploma and 2-4 years of administrative experience. The position starting rate begins at $23.62/ hour.  The Town of West Tisbury requires that all employees be vaccinated against COVID 19. The hiring process will be conducted in open session with the Select Board.
