Creating Resiliency through the Arts!!!
Research as shown that people who practice gratitude and express appreciation have more skills in their tool box to be more resilience in various situations. This month our focus is expressing appreciation through the Arts.
We've pulled together some great FREE at home activities (August Art Challenge, Check Ins, Virtual Workshops, etc...) for you to follow along listed below. If you need materials for these projects, your own or others, always feel free to contact us for a VIP Appointment.
BeauxArts Fine Art Materials is here to help you use the power of art - as always. The Arts are more important than ever to explore. I'd like to encourage you to take a few minutes a day to be creative with whatever sparks YOU. Even the simple things.

If you need ideas on what to create or what you might need to create something, please let us help. Please be kind as we are also doing our best to make accommodations during this time.

August 2020 Art Challenge
For all ages, abilities & interests!!! The Monthly Art Challenge is here with simple and complex creative prompts. This month is special since the theme is Appreciation from A to Z! Make a list A to Z of things that you are appreciative of and create some art with those words. Do in any order, any medium, and organize any way you want! You can use whatever medium you would like. Take a minimum of 10 minutes, some might take longer than others (& that is OK!). Feel free to do different things (such as painting, sketching, trying new media). Keep us posted on what you create on the FaceBook Listing!

Artist Facebook Page Virtual Workshop
Join Jo on Friday, August 21st at 10am for a FREE Zoom Meeting learn how to create a Facebook Artist page that is different from your personal social media page and are still connected for easy updates on your creativity. Zoom meeting information located HERE.

Rock, Shell & Wood Art Workshop
Join Jo on Thursday, August 27th at 2:30pm for a FREE Zoom Meeting to learn about painting on Rocks, Shells, Wood and other odd objects :) Zoom meeting information located HERE.

Plein Air Sessions
Stay tuned to the BeauxArts Facebook Page for Social Distance Impromptu Sessions (various locations and dates). People participating have been practicing various degrees of social distancing, please respect boundaries and bring kindness & understanding.
Art Pro Tips:
-Use Restroom before you arrive since there are no or may not be facilities
-Bring What Materials you know you'll need and maybe a few things which you don't think you'll need - Most Plein Air Artists Travel Light and Get Creative with Your Choice of Materials
-Bring (wear) Mask & other PPE items
-Bring Water & a Snack
-Put on Sunscreen / Bring Sunscreen
-Wear Hat
-Bring a bag for Trash (We still need to leave the location better than we found it)
-Folding Chairs are nice to have
-Wear layers of clothing, you can always take off your jacket
-etc....

Serenity Amidst Chaos
The Florence Area Chamber of Commerce (Florence Oregon Coast) loves to showcase the talent of our local creatives. Artists artwork from Florence Regional Arts Alliance, Backstreet Gallery, and BeauxArts Fine Art Materials & Gallery are on display at the Chamber Visitors Center Gallery from August through September 2020 under the theme Serenity Amidst Chaos.
