Weekly Prayer Requests
  • Pray for global partners Jonathan & Carol Lee taking on administrative roles at the Singapore Headquarters of OMF International. They are facilitating an effort to transform the current culture of their mission agency to one that is Driven by Purpose, Open to Possibilities and Focused on People. Pray for wisdom for them to handle this task.
  • Social Responsibility Pray for the political instability in Sri Lanka as protesters have recently stormed the president’s official residence and the prime minister’s office as the country is suffering its worst economic crisis in decades. The president has left the country and indicated a willingness to resign, but there is currently a political vacuum. We pray that God will put the right leadership in place and that they can steer the country from its economic and political troubles.

Due Honor: Perils of Honor (8)
Pastor Ken Liu

Luke 14:7-11
English Standard Version

Now he told a parable to those who were invited, when he noticed how they chose the places of honor, saying to them, “When you are invited by someone to a wedding feast, do not sit down in a place of honor, lest someone more distinguished than you be invited by him, and he who invited you both will come and say to you, ‘Give your place to this person,’ and then you will begin with shame to take the lowest place. 10 But when you are invited, go and sit in the lowest place, so that when your host comes he may say to you, ‘Friend, move up higher.’ Then you will be honored in the presence of all who sit at table with you. 11 For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
