The 5th SURFACE Project General Meeting

The fifth SURFACE project general meeting took place in Toruń, Poland on 25th-26th February. Project Partners had the opportunity to meet up in the beautiful and hospitable Polish town to be involved in a number of different and interesting project activities

Golden key to circular economy

This was the motto of the 7th Austrian Re-Use Conference on 30 January 2020 in Graz. Top-class presentations, animated discussions and artistic interpretations of repair provided a thoroughly inspiring day.

SURFACE at stakeholder meeting in Styria

Intensive discussions resulted from the first regional stakeholder meeting of the Interreg Europe project SUBTRACT where the Region of Styria is a partner among six other European partners. Nearly 20 participants accepted the invitation of the province of Styria to engage in an intensive exchange over the coming years. Also SURFACE project was represented.

Training on “Module 5: Communication plan for SRP's” in Austria

On Wednesday 4th of March 2020, roughly 20 stakeholders represented on the platform “noamol.at” participated at the SRP training with the focus on “communication and marketing for Re-Use activities” at the Werkstätte Wattens (Schwaz, AT). The online platform www.noamol.at represents the Tyrolean Smart Re-Use-Park.

Tool #5: Policy and operational requirements for case histories

This documents of case histories on policy requirements and on operational requirements can be used by everyone who wants to initiate a smart re-use park in his/her functional urban area. The list of contents gives a good overview on collected cases that are explained in detail.

The cases have been collected from all project partners on existing best practices. Each case describes the policy and operational requirements as well as the strength/weaknesses/opportunities and threads. The aim is to give ideas and transfer know how to other functional urban areas who are willing to set up a smart re-use park.
