Meet the TFMC Team

We are eager to connect with you to learn more about your programs and support your efforts. During September and October, members of the team traveled to North Dakota, Oklahoma and Alaska to meet with grantees, to learn more about each of their communities as well as the important work they do to support victims. We look forward to visiting additional grantees in the very near future.

Latest Event

OVC TFMC hosted its first webinar on Post-Award Grant Management (November 14) with more than 100 participants. Attendees reviewed and learned how to comply with grant agreements including when and how to submit administrative, financial, and audit reports; how to draw down grant funds; and our most frequently requested topic – how to execute budget modifications. The session was recorded and will be posted on the TFMC website before the end of the month. You may also send an email to TFMC@OVCTFMC.org to request a copy of the recording once it is available.

Self Care

Welcome to our section on Self-Care! We work in very stressful times and environments. Self-care is essential to living our best lives. For those who may not be familiar with what self-care actually is, self-care is any activity we do deliberately to care for our mental, emotional, and physical health. Although it's a simple concept in theory, taking care of our ourselves is something we often overlook. Good self-care is critical to improved mood, less anxiety, and better mental and physical health.

To learn more about self-care, see this TEDX video where Susannah Joy Winters, a professional kayaker, mom and entrepreneur discusses the four components of self-care. We look forward to sharing our self-care techniques with you in our issues to come, and please share your ideas with us.
