40TH WARD ALDERPERSON ANDRE VASQUEZ ENDORSES BRANDON  JOHNSON FOR MAYOR OF CHICAGO

Statement from Alderperson Andre Vasquez:

"With just 29 days until one of the most pivotal Mayoral elections in our city’s history, I am enthusiastically announcing my endorsement of Brandon Johnson for Mayor of Chicago!

I do so not out of convenience, but out of necessity. We find ourselves at a crossroads where we must decide if we want to double down on the failed and destructive policies of the past, as offered by Paul Vallas, or to build and invest in the true needs of our community. A Brandon Johnson Administration offers us the smart, transformative, and effective solutions we need to move our city forward.
 

Only together can we make Chicago a truly safe, equitable, welcoming city that invests in quality education, environmental justice, public transportation, and affordable housing for all. That’s the city I want to live in and that’s the city I want our children to grow up in.

I believe that Brandon Johnson is the only candidate who can work alongside us to make that Chicago a reality.
 

In order for us to show up for Brandon the way I believe he will show up for us, we will need all those who are able to knock doors, make phone calls, and join Our 40th, our new political organization, to ensure our collective voice is heard and no neighbor is left behind.
