Construction Review Meetings will be held both online and in person at the field office. The field office is located at 4546 Western Avenue, which is located just south of West Wilson Avenue. The first 10 to 15 minutes of each meeting will be spent on informing the public on the current project status and addressing any public concerns or issues, so please join the conversation.

Lincoln Park Zoo’s Chicago Rat Project has been trapping rats on Ravenswood, Hermitage, Paulina from Granville to Ridge from August 2022- November 2022 based on reports of highest amount of rodent complaints. Because of the collaborative efforts over 150 rats have been caught and tissues for disease analysis are being sent out. The next step is to see if removing rat attractants such as accessible garbage in these alleys will decrease rat populations. This is where YOU come in!
 
We would like to meet with YOU about how, together, we can safe guard communities and determine best practices for rodent mitigation. The Rat Project will share learnings from their survey about encounters with rats and educational materials on how residents can protect themselves, their homes, and their community from potential disease risks.

Join staff from Cook County Commissioner Bridget Degnen's office in-person at the 40th Ward service office, 5620 N Western Ave, for assistance with filing property assessment appeals. Register for an appointment before the event.

PLEASE NOTE:

>Appeals can only be filed with our office for residential properties with 6 or fewer units. Our office will not be able to assist you in filing an appeal for commercial properties or apartment or condo buildings with more than 6 units. Those appeals must be filed with an authorized attorney.

>This appeals window is for your 2022 property tax bill, which will be issued in 2023. This will have no impact on the 2021 tax bills that were due December 30, 2022.
