2021 is over and one thing is sure that It has taught us a lot.
Lessons and experiences that have affected not only our vision of the future, but also our approach to present time. In these uncertain periods we are going through now, more than ever, we appreciate life and the purpose of living.
Welcoming 2022 has been the chance for us to re-evaluate our dreams. In this issue, we offer a further retrospect on where we have come from and where we are headed towards.
Since we opened till January, We have been through a number of celebrations!
As we pave our route towards our dreams and objectives, we desire creativity, refinement & versatility. As much as it is important to know ourselves, it is crucial for us to know and understand the expectations of our clientele.
We have come to realize that most of our customers only have a generic idea of The Mix. It is centered more around the Restaurant & Bar, yet the Mix, as it name suggests, is more than that. Let us re-introduce ourselves to you and bring you into our world.
Architecturally
One thing you can expect from us is the UNEXPECTED. There is nothing common about the Mix. Our driving force is our Authenticity.
Starting with the architecture, it perfectly fits into the décor. The building breaks with the model that surrounds it, all in discretion. The straight lines, the sobriety of white, the integration of natural and sustainable elements, with the wood and the ocher color allows a remarkable balance. This eclecticism of materials announces the DNA of the place. Inspired by Adinkra Symbols, “THE MIX Design Hub” is written in huge black capital letters overhanging the façade.
Upon entering, the vibrant colors immediately elevate your mood. The natural light pierces through the tall windows creating more height and expanding the space, showcasing an innovative yet functional place in which modernism compliments comfort.
As you make your way up through the floors either with the lift or the staircase, you embark on a journey of it's own. Gradually, from The Office Furniture Company, to The Coworking Spaces, then passing by The Gallery to finally end up in The Restaurant crowned by the view of the Azure, the terrace has to offer. You realize that you have not entered just a building, but a whole new Architectural Universe. A Universe where design rhymes with responsibility and consciousness.
The Details that Count
There is nothing random about The Mix Design Hub. Every detail has been carefully thought of, every display is part of a well planned idea. A vision that makes us conscious about our impact on our environment. We favor locally made products hence why African art and handicrafts are found everywhere in The Mix. This is showcased through the use of Adinkra symbols across the Building. Right from the artwork at the reception to our door handles, our cocktail menu and even beyond.
Culture is a strong asset to our setting. We care about giving a platform to artists and artisans, because we believe art and handicraft can connect people and bring them together beyond their original background and create a dialogue of cultures, that leads to more understanding and empowerment.
As much as it is deeply rooted in it's African heritage, The Mix is a place open to the World. Our Art gallery is the best place to validate that with its immense view from the sunrise to the sunset. The broad windows not only contribute to the aesthetic but to our overall wellness through the natural daylight pouring in. Our cuisine embraces European techniques, whilst making the use of local ingredients.
Setting a standard
If we could summarize The Mix in this newsletter, we could have just used the phrase: “A Unique Experience”, which is exactly what we offer. It has been only 8 months now, but you have created incredible and unforgettable memories at The Mix and we want to give you more opportunities of doing that and even more!
In 2022, We have more unique and memorable experiences in store for you. So, if you know you want something different, you know where to come!
