May topic: Stress Reduction During COVID-19

Hey Everyone,

This has been a difficult time for many people, but people with ADHD may be particularly at risk right now. I want you to know that ADHD PEI is here for you if you need us.

First, we are still meeting weekly online through Zoom. If you are outside of Charlottetown and have thought of going to a meeting this might be a great opportunity.

Also, we are excited that this month we are publicly launching our Parents' Support Group! You can find the details about the first meeting further in the newsletter.

The theme for this month is Stress Reduction. In this time of increased uncertainty, anxiety, and physical Isolation, lots of people are experiencing increased stress. One of the simplest things you can do to try and relax is taking 5 slow deep breaths. It has been helping me personally get through some of the most difficult parts of this experience.

Below are a couple of links to ways you can reduce chronic stress. Be kind to each other right now, and remember that together we can thrive not just survive.
