Community Outreach Meeting for Marijuana Retail Store, Florence Center

In response to residents requesting an alcohol free venue for the meeting as well as a remote participation option, the new owners of the first marijuana shop slated to open in Florence Center have changed their meeting date/time and location. SEE Below.

The proposed retail store will be where Pizza Factory is now. While the store is currently allowed by right, a community outreach meeting to field community questions and concerns is required.

STATEMENT FROM from Euphorium LLC:

"We would like to introduce Marco and his father Richard Aranzullo, and their proposed marijuana retailer Euphorium LLC, to the town of Florence with a Community Outreach Meeting.

As you may know, the scrutiny, investment, and timeline for these highly-regulated projects can be cumbersome- taking about 12 months or more from Community Meeting to opening. We understand a Summer meeting means some may be out of town but feel free to contact us via email and notices will be posted at our location advertising news and events as we prepare to open. Marco, the manager, and Richard, both lifetime residents of CT, are a small business duo hoping to bring their mixed skills of fine cigar shops and security services into the regulated cannabis industry in MA.

Their proposed location at the corner of 143 N. Maple, in the current Pizza Factory location, is opening up under new building ownership. They look forward to providing a more ma and pa type alternative to the smaller Florence community which will stand out from the plethora of corporate shops in Northampton. Marco has welcomed cross-pollinating suggestions on marketing with JJ's and hopes to partner with others on events, providing an educational space for adults 21 and over, and connecting with local businesses to encourage more walk-in traffic on the block.

As 300 stores are open in Massachusetts, Euphorium does not anticipate parking or traffic issues but plans to support the ongoing efforts of businesses to strategize utilizing the ample parking downtown more effectively. Euphorium LLC looks forward to increasing the diversity of businesses, access to tested, secure, and top-notch cannabis products to Florence and Hilltown residents and joining the business community."
