La Guilde du jeu vidéo du Quebec in collaboration with the CDRIN, is pleased to announce that the studio Watcha Games earned the 30 000$ grant awarded for the Programme de soutien à l'innovation dans l'industrie du jeu vidéo, powered by Eidos-Sherbrooke. The other studios forming the Spring cohort of the Program are 2 Igloos, 3Mind Games, Barnaque and Shedbuilder Games.

Watcha is therefore rewarded for its first title in preparation, Sea Raiders, intended for the Twitch platform. This Montreal-based studio was created to design collaborative games for the users of these new streaming platforms.
“With solidarity and community becoming key themes of our time, we want to give people a new form of interactive space,” said Eduardo Sajgalik, co-founder of Watcha Games. They will be able to express themselves and flourish by exploring universal themes that adapt. "

Promote and propel innovation from here
With the help of Eidos-Sherbrooke, la Caisse du Complexe Desjardins, SYNTHÈSE, Pôle Image Quebec, Mazars and Avec Assurances, the program aims to promote Quebec innovation, to encourage the surpassing of the limits of innovation and to help the marketing of innovative products and services.

The five participating studios are supported by around twenty experts * in technology, business and finance.The goal is to evolve their strategic development thinking in terms of innovation. Over the next few weeks, they will benefit from personalized support in drafting funding requests and their financial arrangements.
