Friends,
It’s been three months now since we’ve moved to our new location, and, by now, each of you have probably come to the Club numerous times.
We are extremely grateful for your ongoing support to help raise money for our move, your patience during the transition, and your overwhelming expressions of approval for our new facility. The Club is a “we program,” and we wouldn’t be here without your help. Thank you.
To recap, the new Token Club is larger, with multiple meeting rooms, it’s handicap accessible, has ample parking, and is new and clean. Our meetings have increased by more than 10 percent from two years ago, with 62 scheduled meetings for AA, Al-Anon, Overeaters Anonymous, Nicotine Anonymous, Co-Dependents Anonymous, 12- step Meditation, 12-step Bible Study. And we even have a 12-Step Yoga group!
Of course, there is room to expand our meeting capacity, and we’re open to new groups and new fellowships to join us. Contact us at dianna@token3club.com, or call 502-897-5950.
Likewise, our small meeting room (the “Service Room”) is available for group conscience meetings, step-study groups, and 5th step meetings for sponsor and sponsee. Talk to our counter staff to learn more and how to schedule that room.
We’re wrapping up our 2019 Annual Fundraising Campaign at the end of this month. Our goal is to raise $120,00, and we’re currently at $112,000. If you’ve given, please accept our thanks. If not, we invite you to consider a gift at the following levels:
· Leadership - $1,000 or more
· Partnership – $250 - $999
· Membership - $125 - $249
· Sustainer – up to $124.
Please remember that our costs – rent, primarily – have increased as a result of the move we had to make from our Dutchman’s Lane location. The dollar or two that folks put in the basket goes to paying the $25 rent for the room, and the rest goes to the group to allocate to their appropriate 12-Step fellowship hierarchy and to maintain their prudent reserve. If a dollar or two extra is what you can give during any week, we invite you to drop it in the jar on the counter. We may not see you do it, but please know that we are grateful.
For the larger gifts noted above, you can make your donations on line here: Online Donation-Annual Campaign
Your Club is grateful, and we’re optimistic about our future. Our move has been successful, our operations are stable (with higher concession and literature sales this summer than ever before), and we have the continued support of our customers and the community.
The Club is an important part of the Recovery eco-system in Louisville, and it remains, as it always will, a safe, accepting place for people in Recovery to gather, and to share their experience, strength and hope with one another.
