Resilient Leadership Update #17
One of my major observations during this season is that COVID-19 has not so much changed the future as it has accelerated the cultural changes that were already taking place. As we emerge from this crisis, I believe that thriving churches will be better positioned for growth, while churches who had previously been in decline will likely see that process accelerate. The decline is not inevitable, but changing directions will require adaptive change. Adaptive change requires courageous leadership willing to learn, risk, and let go of trying to recreate the past in order to embrace God’s future.
This week, I had the opportunity to share a webinar with Tony Morgan to discuss seven shifts he believes will be necessary for churches to thrive during and after the current crisis. Tony is a sought after thought leader in the field of leadership and change. He is the founder of The Unstuck Group, that quite literally helps churches get “unstuck” by guiding them to focus on vision, strategy, team, and action.

The SBA has released the application that churches and nonprofits will need to complete to apply for loan forgiveness.
