Dear Josie

Well, we are still battling with Brightpearl, our new software which has been particularly hard this last week, but to show that we have retained our sense of humour and proportion, some wag in Cobham shop has renamed it Black Pearl, which not only did I find quite amusing, but begins to somehow put it in proportion. However, the tills at various times of the day are slow, very slow in fact which despite their best efforts, Brightpearl have yet to get to bottom of. So, if you are queuing over the weekend please bear with us. It maybe Covid precautions that are slowing things down or it may be a curved ball out of the cannon of the Black Pearl...

As this is the last email before Christmas I'd like to say thank you for reading my missives, perhaps replying to them when you’ve been so moved, and maybe you even spent your hard earned cash with us. All this is much appreciated, and it’s been an odd year but not without it's fun side even if you, like me, may well have felt somewhat isolated at times, perhaps a lot of the time!

I have an apology to you if you are a Banstead customer as we have failed to get it open in time for Christmas. I’m sorry for two reasons, the first one is quite selfish in that it has a significant impact financially, and partly because we are a big-ish shop in the village and are not playing our part in the village life when only open for Click and Collect or Phone and Collect.

So, may I wish you and your family a very happy and peaceful Christmas and I'll write again in 2 weeks time. In the meanwhile, we are open until Christmas eve.

We are closed for four days over Christmas from Friday 25th to Monday 28th inclusive, reopening on Tuesday 29th Dec at 10.am in Reigate and Cobham. The website will remain open for business throughout.
An update from Babette
I have been once again delighted to the point of being overwhelmed by your reactions, words of encouragement, feedback on me following my intuition and remaining in charge of my own health, offers/ideas of meditation groups, cards, ideas of recipes, and that is without counting the flowers and other tokens of your thinking about me. There were also a number of questions which I will attempt to address now, especially as I have only managed to answer/acknowledge about half of all the emails I've received so far. Questions about why fasting, who said it was good, what do “the doctors” say and why 40 days...Click here to read more.

Have a peaceful week-end.

Babette
Someone sent me a rather amusing video on the new government guidelines, I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Warm regards,

Andrew
