Theme of the Month:  "United We Are...."
United We Are Collaborative
Greetings CPPS Phamily!

As we close out the month of September, I hope that you have had an opportunity to work with others on achieving success in your courses. Working together makes a hard task a little less difficult. If you have not experienced the benefits of working together with a classmate, I highly encourage you to do so. Find someone with whom to share your perspective and gather insight on theirs. You will both be the better for it. Consider this wise counsel on the power of unity and collaboration.
“Unity is strength…when there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved. (Mattie J.T. Stepanek)
“Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much. (Helen Keller)
Wishing you the very best this week!
Rocket Regards,
Dr. Holiday-Goodman

Launch into Law is an immersive, 5-day experience at Toledo Law designed to prepare students from traditionally underserved groups for the law school application process. Learn test-taking strategies for the LSAT, enhance your legal writing skills, and connect with student and professional mentors to explore law school options and legal career paths.

This program is open to highly-qualified undergraduates at no cost. Space is limited, as we will be capping participation to allow for social distancing. While we hope to host the experience in person, we will provide updates if public health mandates require on-campus events to transition to a virtual format. Students from traditionally underserved populations are strongly encouraged to apply.

Changemakers in Action Leadership & Learning  (CALL)
The Eberly Center is kicking off a new program, Changemakers in Action, Leadership and Learning (CALL) which is a two-year social change leadership program for undergraduate students. CALL will use feminist theory and the social change model of leadership to help you strengthen your leadership and professional skills while actively working to create a more equitable world!

CALL is open to Utoledo undergraduate students who have at least two years of coursework remaining in their undergraduate degree.  We will hold bi-weekly meetings from October – April. CALL students must attend a minimum of seven meetings per year. There are 10 spots in the 2020-2022 cohort, which will kick off in October and will meet virtually for all of Fall 2020. CALL students will receive a $100 book award for both the Fall and Spring semesters.

If you are interested in learning more and applying, please visit:

All CALL students will receive a $100 book award for each semester they are participating. The deadline to apply for CALL is September 30, 2020.
As you may have read in the email from the Provost’s Office on 8/19/20, the deadline to turn a class from normal grading, to Pass/No Credit, has been extended.
Instead of 15 days, students now have until 10/16/20 to submit the Pass/No Credit form.
The online form can be found at: Pass/No Credit form. You can submit the form to for review, approval and processing.
Remember that CPPS students cannot turn science or calculus classes into Pass/No Credit. Also, our college set the maximum number of Pass/No Credit hours at 7 (excluding any PC/PE/NE hours from Spring 2020).
If you have any questions or need clarification, please email
