Know of a Family that Needs Diaper Assistance?

Diaper need is an overlooked crisis that disproportionately affects low-income families. With diapers costing up to $100 per month per child, many families cannot maintain an adequate supply of diapers to provide for their child’s most basic needs. Without sufficient diapers, vulnerable children are at risk for health issues, including UTI’s, skin infections, and emotional and physical neglect. Sadly, one in three families does not have sufficient diapers to keep their children clean, dry, and healthy.
Diaper need is a public health issue and diaper banks and their volunteers serve on the front lines of Loudoun County’s Covid 19 pandemic response, helping families in our communities weather the crisis. Your help has a positive impact.
Most childcare centers require parents to provide a day's supply of diapers for their child to attend. Without sufficient diapers, parents are not able to leave their children in childcare centers, impacting their ability to work.
There are no state or federal child safety-net program which allocates dollars specifically for diaper purchases.
Our goal is to raise funds to continue to purchase diapers monthly to help vulnerable children.
We are currently delivering 25,000 diapers a month, serving 650 families! Can you help replenish our shelves? Each baby matters and every dollar and diaper makes a difference! Whether $10 to $100, no amount is too small to make the change from the bottom up!

Our sincere gratitude to those amazing people and generous organizations who held diaper drive campaigns including:
The Primrose School of Aldie - whose families donated over 2,800 diapers!
4th Presbyterian Church, Bethesda, MD who donated 671 diapers!
At least 10% of the diapers we give to organizations come from these diapers drives and another 10% come from people who shop our wishlists. Oftentimes, our donors remain anonymous to us. Please know you are appreciated and have a large impact on our ability to serve.

“I love giving time and money to this non-profit because it all goes to program. Everyone is a volunteer. Our partner organizations do a phenomenal job of getting help to children in need. It truly warms the heart to see so many people willing to give of themselves.”
“A Hand-Up NOVA has been a tremendous resource for families at our Loudoun County Public School who struggle to provide diapers for their families. We are very lucky to have them as part of our "village”.“
