Undergraduate Virtual Events: Discover a World of Opportunities

October 2020 - February 2021

Our series of live virtual events aim to provide students with the knowledge, confidence and skills to make informed choices about their future learning and career. By joining us they can gain an insight into life at Queen's, along with useful information and advice which will guide them through their journey to University.

AS History Conference

Wednesday 11 November 2020, 9.30am – 11.45am

Join the School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics for the AS-Level History Conference.  This online event has been organised in consultation with the History Teachers Association of Northern Ireland and will include two talks:
  • Remembering the First World War and Easter Rising in the Decade of Centenaries by Prof Fearghal McGarry
  • Autobahn, Luftwaffe, Untermensch: Drawing Connections in Nazi Germany by Dr Danny Kowalsky.   
Students will also be able to attend a choice of three exciting breakout sessions with Q&A.

Engineering Parents’ Evening 2020

Thursday 12 November 2020, 6.30pm – 8.30pm

The Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences would like to invite year 11-14 students who are studying or considering studying A-Level Mathematics, Science/Technology and their parents to our online Engineering Parents' Evening

While we can’t have you on campus, we want to ensure that you still get access to our academics, students and employers to provide all of the information that enables students to pick engineering as their future career. There will be an opportunity to hear more and quiz our academics on the engineering disciplines offered by Queen's University Belfast.

Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Virtual Parents’/Guardians' Information Evening 

Thursday 19 November 2020, 6.30pm – 8.00pm

The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences will be holding a virtual Parents’/Guardians' Information Evening on Thursday 19 November from 6.30-8pm.

At this event the students with their parents/guardians will have the opportunity to get a flavour of the degrees in the Faculty. They will also have the opportunity to speak informally to lecturers and current undergraduate students.

The School of Pharmacy Insight Event

Catch up event

The School of Pharmacy Virtual Insight Event which took place on Saturday 10 October is now available on demand. 

Students can take the opportunity to find out more about studying Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, as well as hearing from our current students. There will also be a talk from Alumni to find out where a degree from The School of Pharmacy can lead.
