University of Memphis
Navigating the challenges created by COVID-19 continues to be incredibly difficult for our campus and community. Throughout the pandemic, the University of Memphis has worked diligently to support you in your educational pursuits by making available a robust set of education offerings, access to financial support, flexibility and an array of support services. We were fortunate to receive funding through the CARES Act last spring, summer and fall, which allowed the University to provide direct grants to you and assist with other financial support.
Last month, Congress passed new legislation which provides additional support to universities, including the University of Memphis. We expect to receive additional funding under this legislation in the coming weeks which will allow us to provide additional financial support and direct grants to students. We will disburse these funds in accordance with the parameters and expectations set by the legislation as soon as the funds are received. Although we do not have a clear timeline of when the funds will become available, we anticipate details will be available in the coming weeks. We encourage you to enroll now and continue to pursue your studies this spring; in order for you to be eligible to receive this financial support, you will need to be actively enrolled and continuing your education. We will extend our deadlines and refund late fees given the delays in the allocation of funds.

Below are resources to advise you concerning what level of assistance you might expect. We anticipate that qualifications and support levels will mirror the previous CARES Act. Please reach out using the resources as indicated below.
