2020 ACTG AWARDS
On November 16, 2020, the ACTG virtually presented the 2020 ACTG Awards. This year we have two new awards in honor of ACTG investigators and leaders who recently passed away. KEVIN ROBERTSON MEMORIAL AWARD
We honor the memory of Dr. Robertson by recognizing ACTG investigators who exemplify his compassion, collegiality, and commitment to junior investigators and who have made significant contributions to interdisciplinary research within the ACTG.

CHARLES VAN DER HOST HUMANITARIAN AWARD
We honor the memory of Dr. van der Horst by recognizing ACTG members who exemplify the ideals that informed his life as an unwavering social justice advocate who dedicated his career to promoting universal access to HIV research, treatment, and care – regardless of setting, wealth, or privilege.

JOHN CAREY AWARD
We honor the memory of John Carey by recognizing junior investigators who best exemplify the ideals of the ACTG and the qualities exemplified by Dr. Carey.  They will have made significant contributions to the advancement of knowledge about HIV and its complications in the clinic or the laboratory in ACTG-sponsored research. They will have demonstrated a cooperative spirit and shown intellectual promise and commitment to advance to a leadership position within the ACTG.

CONSTANCE B. WOFSY AWARD
The Constance B. Wofsy Women's Health Investigator Award was established to honor the memory of Connie Wofsy by recognizing investigators who have made significant contributions to research in women living with HIV and who embody qualities exemplified by Dr. Wofsy.

Awardees will have demonstrated ability to mentor junior investigators, on-going clinical involvement caring for women living with HIV in addition to addressing priority areas of the Research Agenda focused on women and girls.

DONNA DAVIS AWARD
We honor the memory of Donna Davis by recognizing a current ACTG staff member (site staff, Network Coordinating Center, SDAC) who has made a significant contribution to the advancement of knowledge about HIV and the community, and engaged broader community participation in research, mentorship, education and leadership. They will exemplify the ideals of the ACTG and the qualities exemplified by Donna Davis.
