Eighth Annual Local American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Clinical Pharmacy Challenge
The Student College of Clinical Pharmacy (SCCP) at the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences held its Eighth Annual Local American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) Clinical Pharmacy Challenge on Wednesday, April 29th (virtually).  The following students will be representing UToledo in the preliminary rounds of the national competition to be held virtually in September:

  • Erik Wasowski (alternate)



Wi-Fi Access
Wi-fi access on campus has been extended into the following areas for students to access via their cars.  They can only access Eduroam with their UTAD credentials,.
  • Secor side of Rocket Hall; west parking lot (Area 25) - area in front of RSC entrance
  • Some spots in the small lot behind Snyder (closest to building)
  • Near the UT Student Medical Center / Main Campus Pharmacy (close to building).  
  • Centennial Mall also has access throughout, but students could only access on foot and practicing social distancing.

COVID-19 Emergency Financial Assistance Available for UToledo Students

The University has created a webpage outlining all available COVID-19 emergency financial assistance options available for students experiencing financial difficulties.
  • We are thankful to have received $13.5 million in funds from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act. Of this total, $6.7 million will be used to immediately assist current students experiencing financial hardships caused by the pandemic.
  • Students enrolled for spring 2020 who received a federal Pell Grant will receive a one-time grant of $500, and no application is required. About one-third of the federal relief dollars will be used to prioritize aid to these students.
  • For all other students, we have streamlined the application process. They can submit one application for Rocket Aid to be considered for federal CARES Act support, as well as donor-funded relief programs.
  • Students who previously submitted a request for emergency aid due to the coronavirus pandemic will need to complete a new Rocket Aid application to be considered for CARES funding support.
  • Our financial aid team will review each application individually to prioritize the most urgent needs.


CMD Pharmacy Virtual Career Fair for Ohio
Wednesday, May 6th through Saturday, May 9th

Practicing Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Aides, as well as students currently enrolled in education programs within the state are encouraged to pre-register. This digital recruiting event brings together hospitals, healthcare systems, and practice groups seeking Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Aides for immediate hire across Ohio. 
On May 6th, Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Aides who have pre-registered will receive an invitation link to enter the virtual fair, and will be able to review in-state job opportunities from the convenience of their phones, laptops, or tablets until midnight. 

Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Pharmacy Aides interested in further introducing themselves to employers across the state may also submit their resumes for inclusion in the Ohio Pharmacy Resume Book, which will be distributed to all participating employers.

Fall 2020 Health Requirements Deadline for the Entering PharmD Class of 2020

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences has extended the Fall 2020 Health Requirements Deadline for the entering PharmD Class of 2020 to Saturday, August 1, 2020

Students can email any questions and/or their health information via scan (PDF) or screenshot (JPG) as long as it is legible and original signatures and dates are clearly defined directly to Sherlette Hobbs at

Students are also urged to begin their Hepatitis B series as soon as feasible.

Fall 2020 P1 BSPS White Coat Information

If you are a student with provisional admission in Cosmetic Science & Formulation Design, Medicinal & Biological Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, or Pharmacology/Toxicology major, you must complete a “White Coat Selection” form no later than May 15, 2020.

When selecting your white coat size, please use your size for standard coat/blazer size.

(Since Pharmacy Administration students are not required to wear a white coat for their academic program, students with provisional admission in Pharmacy Administration are not required to complete this form.)

Fall 2020 P1 PharmD White Coat Information

All P1 Pharm.D. students will receive a FREE white lab coat at the Professional Advancement Ceremony which celebrates your matriculation into the Pharm.D. program.

To order your white coat, please complete and submit the "White Coat Selection" form online by no later than May 15, 2020.

Please note that Pharm.D. students wear the short lab coats, and you should select your standard coat/blazer size.

Please note that PharmD students must have at least 60 earned credit hours to obtain their State of Ohio intern license. Intern licenses are needed in the fall semester of the P1 (professional year one) for all PharmD students.
If you are applying to start our PharmD program in Fall 2020, please review your transcript or degree audit now.
If you will not have at least 60 earned credit hours (adding your current earned hours with your spring hours), you should add a class in Spring 2020 (or plan to take a class during the Summer 2020).
