Dear Undergraduate Community,

Welcome to Spring Quarter! We hope that you all are adjusting as well as possible to this quarter's virtual environment. Our student body is learning to work under unfamiliar conditions and living without certainty of what tomorrow will bring. This is not how any of us imagined Spring Quarter would be, and we recognize the financial, psychological, and social impacts that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on many. In spite of these turbulent times, we are constantly inspired by the time and resources you all have dedicated to caring for one another and for your communities.

Additionally, we want to inform you that the usual ASSU election cycle has been modified due to the virtual nature of the quarter. While elections would normally occur this week, the ASSU has decided to conduct elections virtually on May 18th & 19th. Consequently, we will be serving as your ASSU Executives for a little while longer, and we are happy to do so. We will continue to advocate on your behalf and work to make Stanford a place where everyone feels that they can thrive, even in these unprecedented circumstances.

Please read on for two important announcements. As always, if you want to address us directly, please reach out to president@assu.stanford.edu!

Sincerely,

Erica Scott (she/her), ASSU President
Isaiah Drummond (he/him), ASSU Vice President
Remy Gordon (he/him), ASSU Executive Chief of Staff

Callisto Contract Expiration

The Callisto Campus website, a tool for sexual violence reporting, will no longer be accessible after June of this year. All records stored on Callisto Campus will be permanently deleted on June 30th. Students are able to log on and download their record(s) before June 30th.

We understand that this may be difficult news for students who have relied upon Callisto Campus as a trusted place to store sensitive and important information. We are working to extend Stanford’s partnership with Callisto, but wanted to share this important news in the meantime. If you want to learn more about Callisto or get involved in our work on this issue, please reach out to Krithika Iyer (ksiyer@assu.stanford.edu).

Undergraduate Senate Survey

The Undergraduate Senate is looking to hear from students about its performance this year. The ASSU and the Stanford Daily are launching the first round of Stanford Polls, an initiative to gauge student opinion towards Stanford, the Undergraduate Senate, and the administration. The form is very short and can be filled out in a few minutes. If you want to provide feedback to make the ASSU as effective as possible, we encourage you to take time to fill out the form.

We will randomly select FIVE RESPONDENTS to receive $20! (Venmo or Amazon gift card based on preference.) All response are anonymous.

Fill out the survey HERE!
