About this session:

This session will focus on the work undertaken by the University of Illinois, Chicago Ed.D. program in Urban Education Leadership and Teach for America-Chicago/Northwest Indiana to diversify the principal pipeline through the development of teacher leaders of color. The Aspire Fellowship is a 10-month program designed to support teacher leaders of color seeking to enter a principal certification program in the next 2 years. As partners, the UIC Ed.D. Program in Urban Education Leadership and Teach for America Greater Chicago-Northwest Indiana built the program on the shared belief that students need transformational leaders who reflect the diversity of their local communities and designed every element around the experiences of leaders of color.
