Did you know Affogato means drowned in Italian? Yes, that’s right…you’ll drown your vanilla gelato with a shot of expresso.
It is simple, and yet delicious!
We added a little punch to our version with a caramel scented espresso!
For a full Wine & Kitchen experience, pair it with our sweet and fizzy “Sangue di Giuda, Ca Montebello”.
SORBET AU ROMARIN ET À L’HUILE D'OLIVE
(Lemon and Rosemary Sorbet, Fruity Olive Oil, Sea Salt)
We created this dessert for our Provence Menu, and it was such a pleasant surprise that we needed to keep it longer.
We have to agree that it sounds weird. Is it savory? Sweet? Olive Oil in a Sorbet? Sea salt?
Well…. we’ll just ask you to taste it and tell us what you think!
Fabio chose our VINIA Selection Moscato to pair with it. The sweetness and spices of this wine will be a perfect combination to the freshness of the sorbet!
SEMIFREDDO AI FRUTTI DI BOSCO
(Fresh Mixed Cheeses Semifreddo, Season Berries Coulis)
Semifreddo means semi-frozen in Italian, and it is a delicious smooth and creamy cold dessert!
You can make it of any flavor you like, but our version needed to have cheeses, of course!
We suggest pairing it with our Semi Dry Riesling, Fulkerson. The mixed cheeses with the fruitiness of this wine from New York will create a full Wine & Kitchen experience!
